Hi folks!
Been using Amarra 2.5.1 for a couple of days and I really like it. It seems to have a nice bit of improved presence over the prior version. I'm using a Mac Mini as a server into Audioquest Diamond into a Musical Fidelity 192 SPDIF converter into a Benchmark DAC1 Pre and from there the rest of my system which is Audio Research electronics feeding a pair of Magnepan 1.7s. Black Cat Lectraline and Neomorpheus cables.
There is some really nice clarity which I already found a hallmark of Amarra. I am playing hirez files from playlist and 16/44 from iTunes. Both sound wonderful. Lots of nice resolution and nice deep and wide soundstage.
A really nice bonus is the included Sonic Studio Process file conversion software. The most intuitive I have used so far and really nice transparency from the original to target files based on what I am hearing.
Highest recommendation.
