Heh,

After seeing the swanky velvet-lined boxes that come with the coconut-shaped AT's and Sony's, I decided that Team HP-1000 needed a case to match.

Enter the Kalispel Indian Nation. They make cases for guns and cameras. Turns out that headphones fit in their pistol case quite nicely

Built to last, dust proof, drop-proof, and maybe even bullet-proof (but probably not - only .060 aluminum) this is their 15x12x4 case. Note the ultra-duty padlock-able hatches and strategically placed Headroom sticker!

Rather utilitarian now but there's a fabric store on the way home and I have lots of sharp X-Acto blades...

ok,

nice case! but, it looks really expensive... I guess for the HP-1000's it's okay. may I ask how much it stole from your wallet?

Take that case with you when you go out and audition audio equipment! I would love to see the look on the salespersons face!

Jeff: I have another case like this that is much larger and stuffed with a pair of trap guns (Remington 3200 O/U shotguns). It's quite heavy.

jerikl: This one lists for $130 but I got mine on eBay for <$50.

ok,

I don't know. Tyll might ought to look into offering something like that for the 225/325 series.

And Eric, I don't think it needs any fabric. I think the utilitarian look is fitting. Kinduv says "They look good because they sound good". The "form follows function" thing.

(But if you do, post another pic)

I think no fabric too, as it matches the HP-1000s. Aluminum cans, aluminum case....they just go together.
