I have the focal elex. I been eyeing the moondrop Venus and the hifiman edition xs (2 planars). Would either be an upgrade to the elex (details, imaging, eq ability in the bass, etc)? I plan on probably using them with a MOJO chord 2.

Yes, XS is an upgrade IMO. It is an incredibly clear and detailed H/P.

Edition XS would be your most lateral upgrade but they are different enough in signature to own both. Your Elex will punch a bit harder but the XS has better technicalities.

The Edition XS is the best headphone I've ever heard. Far better than the Elex

I'm glad to hear some new love for the Edition XS. I've always found the Elex to be really responsive no matter what I fed it.
