Lumin U2 or U2 Mini?Out of curiosity, have any of you swapped Ambre for something else? I'm musing over a Lumin U2 or Auralic Aries G1.1 to feed my Adagio. Thoughts?

It would be U2 Mini initially. I could possibly stetch to U1X later, but it must really offer a significant performance increase because it's hugely more expensive.Lumin U2 or U2 Mini?

If budget allows, i would suggest Auralic Aries G2.1, with the Horwege PSU upgrade, it is miles above the Ambre into my Adagio. As in silly good.It would be U2 Mini initially. well G2.1 has EMI shielding enclosure which by itself will give improvements to users who have lot of EMI at home, dual transformer, dual FEMTO clock and a price point of $5.6K USDIf budget allows, i would suggest Auralic Aries G2.1, with the Horwege PSU upgrade, it is miles above the Ambre into my Adagio. Is anyone else feeling depressed that Metrum have done nothing since being rescued from bankruptcy? No new products other than crazy expensive DAC modules. No communication. Nothing. Sad.

No feelings of depression here
Metrum Acoustic is a beautiful brand with beautiful products. But...so are others. Moved on after selling my onyx.

A beautiful brand on life support. Annoys me. I want to see comms about the future direction of the company. I want to see new products. Some reason to stick with the brand and not sell up and move on.No feelings of depression here

£2K is taking the p*ss
you're coming very late at the party! (and also thank Brexit )
paid 4k (€) for my Adagio, when I bought it (they took back my Hex for a 1.5k value) and 1.2k for DAC3 modules (first three months after release price was 200€ each + 50€ cashback for DAC2 modules)

Since he (https://www.head-fi.org/members/cees-ruijtenberg.513487/) doesn't allow to view his profile anymore..
So far I know he has retired... It's up to Metrum to communicate, but I agree that's not their strong point... (their Facebook page didn't state anything since February 2021), their own site gives me a 404 error at this moment (and their certificate is not valid anymore): not a sign they do care about good presence this moment...

I bought a Chord TT2. After 6 months it did break down, took Chord 3 moths to repair. The Chord TT2 was to clean/sterile for me.What did you move on to? Am curious.
Now I enjoy a schiit Bifrost 2, R2R is more my taste.
if Cees is retired how will Sonnet Audio survive?
