I dunno if they'll do a "good job," but they should power them, i think. I hardly use them past than 9:00 or so. They can power a cheapie set of 2.1 speakers at about 1:00. I think it has sufficient power for headphones. The specs say it can power headphones from 8 ohms to 600 ohms.

Damn, after Skylab's review I just had to get one for that price.
Even though I also just bought a Xiang Sheng 708B Tube Pre/Headphone amp on ebay...
Curse you head-fi!

Also have some tubes on the way for tube rolling. It seems the stock chinese tubes aren't that great. Can't wait to hear the uAmp and the Xiang Sheng and do some comparing!

I am kind of curious how those Xiang Sheng amps sound. They are like what, $115 on ebay or something cheap like that. Doesn't seem to be a lot of information about them around here though.

I made a 75 ohm adapter with a ferrite bead. Now I can only hear hiss with marshmallows past 2:00, which is way too high for listening safely.
Cell phone interference is much reduced. I can only hear it when I'm getting a call or when I'm calling someone. It's actually very useful. I can tell when I'm getting a call, especially if I can't hear anything b/c of my music.

I managed to get one for $120 shipped off of Ebay. There are some threads about the 708b on Head-fi but only one or two. Seems they are average with the chinese stock tubes but tube rolling improves them a lot. Anyway, I'll be using it with a HD595 which seems to like tube amps so i'm curious too.
