The Grey Knight link shows a one metre cable at £86. There seems to be variety of Grey Knight at various prices, it is very confusing as to what is the correct one. Anyway as you have experienced Chinese connectors from Ali Express do not compare favourably with genuine connectors from Oyaide, Furutech or IEGo or Viborg. Without exception I have yet to find a worthwhile connector from AE that was not bettered by the cheapest genuine item.

Great point……, but if you were to click onto the right side of said listing, as it relates to the length needed?, you just order what’s needed.

As confirmed by B. Shaw several days ago, upon assembling this very same power cord using both a Vanguard FI-60M Silver Plated Copper - Black Brass Carbon Fiber in tandem with a IeGO 8065 silver plated copper IEC, it stuck me as he was quite taken with the combination, and had in fact stated he’d be pursuing only the IeGO plugs in future endeavors.

I’ve concluded this is the route I’ve personally chosen to pursue myself. Also note the Viborg VF503S silver plated copper IEC offers a very very unique clamping system of which I’ve never encountered before, and is quite worthy.

Hi everyone,
Could someone recommend something on alix for set of power plugs below $20? I been looking around and found bunch (linking below) but no idea if any are decent enough?

if not, those, please link recommended ones. ty (it could be ebay or amazon too).

TIA!
If your budget is set at this price?, go for the aluminum shell Krell knockoffs, as their extra mass cancels out excessive noise like EMI | RFI, just not to the degree of brass or stainless steel housing offers.

I'm looking for RCA phono plugs of better quality where the contacts can be screwed in = without soldering!!

Are there any recommendations?
The only ones that I’m aware of cost dearly, but worth it are made by Viborg as well as ETI Research, I haven’t ventured out to other brands yet…..

I don’t have much experience with Ali PCs, have used a lot of Oyaide, AQ, and Audio Envy, but I just made up a Grey Knight Energy MKII silver plated copper with quality silver plated copper plugs, and I can highly recommend it. The caveat is the importance of the plugs, I would never buy a fully assembled cable. Even when I have, I’ve always replaced the plugs, which I’m in the process of doing with my three Audio Envy cables which come stock with cheap gold plated copper Oyaide 037 knockoffs. Lots of high quality cable from Japan and Germany can be had for reasonable prices, ebay is very good for this, where you can buy by the meter directly from Japan. But I must say this Grey Knight cable (xangsane) is an eye opener for me, super quiet, warm, detailed, and beautiful sounding.
H/ear Here.

not really, set, but if I am going to 'waste' them, i'd like to stay below $20 per set, but, if you have some other options, please share, I do have viborg ones in my cart on amazon https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B088QX7M3Z/ but they are 2x the price...

I absolutely love their newer design for this silver plated copper ( multiple layered ) IEC plug, yet am uncertain if the one shown here is actually the one that both B. Shaw | I are referring to which looks like the photo below with the two sets of brass screws per opening, and shows the opening for the wires as nicely aligned versus the older design.

to feed the 0.4 mV voltage of my vinyl mc-cartridge into my Hashimoto HM7 (SUT).
There are not many solder-less RCA plugs available in the marketplace. The two I am familiar with are the original and clone Furutech CF-102R connectors. Where I purchase original Furutech products (VH-Audio) charge $327 for a set of 4. The Aliexpress clone versions run me $29 a set of 4. They both offer a different sonic presentation. I personally prefer the clone. Reason is they offer an almost identical sonic presentation compared to direct wire to component connection. The original connectors offer a colored presentation.

Just for your info guys: ATAudio 7N OCC Core HIFI Power Cable from ATAUDIO Offical Store is by far the best Chinese power cable from Aliexpress that I have had and my best power cable overall. In my system it is much better than all Chinsese "Odins" and "Valhallas". The cable needs some burn-in as it is a bit rough when new.
