How do you like these albums? I'm thinking about getting one Loreena McKennit to try out, which one would you recommend? I recently bought Enya's Shepherd Moons based of head-fiers' recommendation.

I find it difficult to choose which of the two albums i favor since they both feature a very similar musical style but if i had to choose i would say "The Book Of Secrets" if only because i'm familiar with the song "The Mummers Dance" which is the only song in either album that i've heard before but otherwsie i like them equally...

Concerning Enya i would also recommend "Watermark"...i think watermark and sheperd moons are her best albums...i also have The Best of Enya "Paint the Sky With Stars" which features a nice collection of songs from her various albums...

I sorta feel that way about Radiohead to, though I'm starting to like "Ok Computer" quite a bit!

On the recommendation of Head-fi:

"Gladiator" Soundtrack (of course!)
Roger Waters "Amused to Death" - Master Sound edition (SFX extravaganza and sounds great. A bit preachy in content.)
"Jazz at the Pawnshop" (a 'classic' that sounds wonderful, but yawn...)
Flaming Lips "The Soft Bulletin" (Amazing!!!!)

And probably more thirty albums that I more or less 'previewed' as mp3s. A lot of great info here at Head-fi!

The most-recent Head-Fi purchase I made was for Carlo's contest about 9 months ago (last fall). I bought The Flaming Lips' Yoshimi battles the Pink Robots, Velvet Underground's Velvet Underground & Nico, and The Who's A Quick One. I gave away Yoshimi and sold the VU CD but I love A Quick One and still play it a lot.

Before that, I bought Kind of Blue about two years ago since Headwizers or Head-Fiers (can't remember which it was back then) said so, and then bought Thelonious Monk's Live at the "It" Club based on another recommendation from Head-Fi.

Aside from that, I received a few gift CDs from Head-Fiers but purchased no other CDs except for personal gratification.
