I found a great deal on AKG Q460, over 50% discount, but I've read some mixed reviews about them. I like the design of the Sony better, and they look more comfortable, but sound quality is more important. I would highly appreciate any thoughts on the two headphone models. Will be used with iPhone, pop and rock music.

Sorry for the bump, but I'm gonna buy one of these headphones as a Christmas present, so I need input asap.

I would go with the AKG.
 
The bass is much better than with the Sony's. The Sony's are just to priced from what they just feel & sound.
 
Moreover there's a lot that come with the AKG too, 2 detachable cables, case, adapter & more

Yeah, the AKG seems like an overall better deal. It's just that a lot of people seem to have some issues with them, while no one seems to complain about the Sony. Then again, considering the price, I'm sure the AKG will produce better sound. I'm definitely leaning towards the AKG.
