Hi, I am new to high end headphones and i have been looking into the AKG K701 and the Beyerdynamic DT990 Black edition to buy for gaming/movies/music 40/40/20With my ds4, macbook air and in the future and dac/amp. I don't have a amp/dac yet but will definitely buy on later i figured i could or say which types of music i listen to ore just post a link of my spotify account
(I primarily play fps and open world games)
I also have a few concers with the cable of the DT990
My budget is 140 euros for the headphones
and about 80 euros for the dac/amp

(I only listen to the first two playlists (Awesome mix Vol .1, the rest is from my brother)

These are very different headphones.

AKG K701 is on the bass light side while DT990 Pro packs more punch by quite a margin.
AKG K701 has forward upper midrange while DT990 Pro has soft upper midrange.

If you want a more technical sound get the K701 otherwise the DT990 will provide a more immersive and fun experience.
Both are very detailed headphones in the big scheme of things. DT990 is sturdier and slightly easier to drive.
