Hi folks!
AKG K701 is a very popular headphone in the community and there are a number of amplifiers that work well with it. I just haven't been able to locate all of them in this part of Europe. I have selectd the following as possible contenders:
Lake People G103
Lake People G105
Meier Audio Rock
Meier Audio Jazz
Musical Fidelity V90 HPA
Schiit Asgard 2
This would be a present for someone I care about and who will no doubt use it with analogue sources (primarily (tape and vinyl) and so the amplifiers must feature analogue inputs as I know some recent models feature only digital inputs.
My price limit for this amplifier is 300 Euro but if for a little bit extra something better can be had, then I am open to suggestions.
I have set several criteria:
- power supply must be internal (no wallwart transformers)
- enough current to drive the K701 to satisfying volume level
- solid metal construction
