Sure, it's your choice. It's true that Bass is really great on the V-Moda's, but it isnt really overwhelming bass, it's great low frequencies that the V-Moda's are able to do.
 
Comparing the V-Moda's to my favorite Sony MDR-1R and Sennheisser Momentums, the Momentums are the best of the pack, while the V-Moda's beat the MDR-1R's in bass, The Sony has a better sound stage and more detail that the V-Modas.

I had the V-moda m80s for quite sometime and i loved them. Are the m100s a substanatialimprovement?

sorry but i haven;t tried the M-80's but comparing the M-100's against the LP, the M-100's are a massive improvement.

I may just get both the akg 550 and the m-100 and send back the one that i like the least!

What would you say the ws99 sounds like overall?

The bass is emphasized, lower mids emphasized, dark highs. It sounds like an mdr 1r with more bass, much tighter bass, less mids, and faster drivers.

I love the look of them. Bass wise whats its bass like compared to the m100

I havent heard the m100 but the ws99 has less bass and more mids.

I'll have to check them out maybe i can find a store that i can test out a few of these. It shouldn't be too hard seeing as i'm in the country music state

I'll do some research about this ws99.. seems interesting. But in your comparison, which one has a better soundstage, better seperation, and better Low frequencies?

PM DannyBai. He has both. Read the ws99 thread and you'll find plenty of comparison. The pure bass heads seem to like the m100 do to the shear quantity of bass, will people more down on earth prefer the ws99 due to the balance.

They all sound like good headphones i'm sure whichever ones i pick i'll like them it may just come down to price and modding my sr80is.
