Hi everyone, I'm new to head-fi but have been scouring through the threads for quite a while now. I'm looking for the best pair of phones that are sub $300 or close. I've narrowed it down to these three.as potential because they all seem to have solid bass while also maintaing great mids, highs, etc.. Anyway I listen to 50% hip hop and 50% country music if that helps.

Also I forgot to add I'm searching for great bass that extends low and rumbles (when called for) warm mids and just great clarity overall. Lastly I really want to feel immersed in the music as if I was at the concert sitting front row I think that's soundstage but not sure.

M100 is the best out of those three.  Best at the price however yields:
KEF m500
M100
ATH ws99
 
The kef is the best!

The M100 is probably your best bet. You could also look at the Sennheiser Momentum. It is supposedly a quite warm sounding headphone with good bass too.

ok ill definitely give it a look. what about the ath ws99 because I've been hearing great things about this headphone??. also as for the kef I read that while spectacularly detailed its very neutral and not as bassy as I would like.

I like the ws99 slightly more than the m100. The kef definitely has plenty of bass, and it doesn't roll off. Kef is the best to me.

Unfortunately I couldn't find a discounted pair of kefs I only found them at 300 unlike the m100 and ws99. Considering I listen to country music more than hip hop/rap   which phone has more focus/better mids and highs (ws99 or m100)?

Both are beastly, but the ws99 is definitely more balanced.  WS99 wins in mids, m100 wins in highs (if you like slightly emphasised highs),  ws99 has tighter bass, m100 has deeper bass, and more bass.  You should also consider the focal spirit one.

ok great comparison it helped me to solidify my choice of m100 I would look at focal spirit one but i think im ready to pull the trigger and im under time constraints (going out of town in a couple of days) thanks for your help though !!
