(I may yet want to reply to one or two of your comments, but for now I really want and need some more ear-time with the AKG K3003 before I do. I've only had it in my ears for about 3-4 hours a few weeks ago and unfortunately memory sometimes plays practical jokes with your brain, and I want to make sure before I set to work.)

Comply Foam T-500s worked pretty well for me, but in the end I preferred the stock tips.
