Hi,

I'd like to know whether anybody around here was any experience with these AKGs... I searched a little bit and found out that they feature four drivers and some people even like them

Can anybody write something about its sound and maybe even compare it to some other well known headphone (best would be Sennheiser HD 600)?

I have the K270, which came after the K280 chronologically (go figure *shrug*). Both cans are a closed design. The K270's have the same dual-driver configuration as the K280 did, if not the same drivers.

Soundwise, I like them a lot. Typical AKG sound - great mids & highs, a bit light but tight bass. Fairly wide soundstage, albeit not as cavernous as the open K501's. Nice with vocals, jazz, & classical (ensemble & orchestra). I prefer them over the Sennheiser HD580/600 series.

Basically I find them accurate to the source material. They will not interject more than what is already there. They work surprisingly well out of an iPod unamped, but respond to a good amp too.

Probably the most comfortable traditional headphone I've ever worn. btw.
