hi, the AKG K240Studio and K240Mk2 has the below specs.............

Sensitivity headphones104 dB SPL/V
Max. Input Power200 mW
Rated Impedance55 Ohms

i plan to use it with a laptop for movies/music...........i know it won't sound that good but will i at least get adequate volume out of the headphones or will the volume be too low ?

or are there better choices at around the same price ?...........

i need reasonable isolation from the headphones..........durable earpads..........it must cover the ears............easy to drive........comfortable.......

MANY THANKS !

These are not easy to drive to loud volumes, although if you don't mind them being quiet with less bass and treble extension... But, the problem here is that the K240's don't provide any isolation at all basically, except high frequencies. You can hear people just as well with them on as off. The sound is great for the pricing, and I think the comfort is divine (depends on your head size and shape as with all headphones.), very durable earpads... But you need isolation. I'd have to suggest Shure SRH440's. Good isolation, good sound... Everything you wanted. http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B002DP1FTU/ref=redir_mdp_mobile
