i just received my akg 271s today and i was wondering what they'd look like with velour pads. i searched but couldn't find any pics. could you guys post or link me to some pics of the 271 with velour pads? thanks.

also, how's the bass with the velour? more or less than with the stock pads?

one more thing - is it possible to bend the headband a bit wider like with grados?

You do not need to do anything with the headband - it expands/contracts automatically. Pictures of velour vs. pleather earpads on them? You will not see any difference and there is little (no) appreciable difference in the sound - it is simply a matter of comfort and reduction in sweating. Even better is putting Beyer dt770 Velours on them (they provide more ear room - greater depth and interior circumference for the more "manly-sized" ears).
