Hey guys, I found a pair of AKG 240M NOS pair of headphones..


What's the value of these? I see the rising increase in price to the Sextett's, and these are also the 600 Ohm model, just gold ring, instead of silver. I would assume, since these are BRAND NEW, these are either middle or late production model's, wouldn't you agree?

I don't know a lot about the older AKG line, but it seems the 240M's are on par with the Sextett's in SQ.




Again, these are brand new, in box, never used. (NOS)


Price - $100 shipped.



I was wondering "usually" what a mint/near mint pair of 240M's usually sells for.

And where did you hear that the K240M is on par with the K240 Sextett?

Not sure, I remember reading a while back about a comparison between the two being somewhat similar.



What's your opinion between the 240M and 240 Sextett?

The K240M is closer to being on par with a new K240S, though a bit harder to drive and with a flatter response. The Sextett was the more technically complicated and finer-sounding predecessor to these models.
