AX requires all of it's audio to be in Apple Lossless, a format that has yet to be implimented outside of iTunes.

Yeah, he did. Unfortunately any Google or Yahoo search for Airport Express & Hacks gets 5,000 of the exact same story about it. I haven't found anything else yet. I'm debating about doing a real-time sound capture (Audio Hijack Pro), then "broadcasting" it as a local radio station (Nicecast), then have iTunes play.
