no one is going to say anything about any of vmodas headphones?....... m-80s for a flat response, or lp2 for more bass

If you do decide on a DAC, I highly recommend the new E10 if you want something relatively cheap. Even if you do get new headphones, kingtz is right, your current source won't be doing them justice.
