I'm planning on purchasing a Beyerdynamics DT880 250Ω for both music and gaming on my desktop PC. I don't have any amps- however my PC is sporting a ASUS Xonar STX soundcard with the one factory standard opamp. The only issue is that I've heard that higher impedence headphones don't sound well with the STX soundcard.
Does the DT880 sound good unamped with the STX? If not- what would be a good <$150 headphone amp for desktop use? Thanks for reading and I appreciate any help or advice.
