Advice for Tube Headphone Amp Purchase

Does it have to be hybrid?

If not, the Woo Audio WA22 would be what you're looking for. If you can do without balanced, then the Woo Audio WA6-SE Gen 2 is what I have. You could also look at the xDuoo TA-30 (I have that in my bedroom) and the xDuoo TA-26 is getting great reviews....

Would have to import Woo Audio stuff. So nothing from the U.S.

I've been looking at these xduoo amps. But I've seen plenty of reviews that mention hissing noise.

Looking at the

LITTLE DOT MKIII SE

As well for 549€...

Is there a hybrid-tube amp that works well with planar magnetic Headphones (aeon 2 Noire) , and low impedance dynamic headphones (focal Elegia) that is fully balanced and doesn't suffer from hissing noise?
Schiit Audio Mjolnir 2 (especially with capacitor modifications) - but discontinued. Search the second-hand market.

If I may ask, what is your budget?
I thought about your amp, but I am leery of recommending it due to the price. The iFi Pro iCAN is all kinds of awesome, but it is also all kinds of money.
Even used, mine was very expensive (to me). But I do Love it and it works with everything.

They do have much cheaper models though.

The Sophia Princess 274B is in the top 10 for sure, but there are so many others that can outshine her. Find a "Mighty" USAF 596 and adapter on eBay, You'll see what we mean.

I had thought of just biting the bullet and getting the 596 NOS from Woo. It is a bit pricey. I'll learn with what I have now and check maybe later. Honestly I'm not sure I'd change the power/driver tubes. Not sure I'd notice as there doesn't seem to be a consensus on them...is there?

• Changes in power/driver tubes are noticeable and are usually less than the changes in rectifier tubes - at least in Woo h/p/a that use tube rectification (the discontinued WA3 does not).
• Here is the WA6 (1st Gen) chez moi with the USAF 596 ! ( + Step up / get the 596 => 5U4 adapter from Woo: $150 currently.)

Hello,
Have a look at White bird amplification.
I had a hybrid amplifier built there that can also drive low ohm headphones, especially planar headphones like my Aeon R/T with 14 ohm.
And ask about the White Bird Amplification Firebird that he finished in November last year.

It was not expensive and is very worthwhile built on two 6SN7 tube sockets with enough power on blrd to drive anything.
The company is based in Poland, which is convenient for them.
I had it built on the 6.3 mm jack, you can probably have it built on Xlr as well if you want.
Soundwise it reacts very well to tube changes and surpasses what is available on the market as well as the price.
Even the Pathos Aurium looks really old and costs a small fortune in comparison.
