(sorry in advance for the long thread)
Hey, I've been looking at an MP3 player to replace my old iPod and give me some nicer sound quality and more functionality, and I've heard good things about the M9 - connecting to it both ways with bluetooth, plus a line out, seems really handy and expandable.
I do have a couple of questions that I can't really find the answer for however, so I was wondering if anyone here could help me out.
For instance, if I was planning on connecting the M9 to an external headphone amp such as the Schiit Fulla 2 which I'm looking at getting, which output type should I use? The choices are Powered, Line Out, or SPDIF.
I'm presuming Line Out or SPDIF, but I'm not really sure of the use cases for each.
The same question applies to connecting to a simple soundsystem with a 3.5mm "audio in" connection, but I'm presuming those use cases are quite similar.
If anyone knows or suggests a different DAP I'd be really grateful.
