I have heard asg2 not 2.5, so I can give my thoughts when I'll receive them. Note I haven't ordered w500 instead A3H, so I'm not sure if you'd be really interested to know.

Cool, would appreciate comparison even with a3h, especially since they are maybe more similar than the w500, and perhaps gives a reference point within the AAW frame of reference.

Good looking ciem seriously and I also like the cable a lot. How are the sound impressions? I mean apart from the bass, any word on resolution and technical capabilities?

Thanks!

The W500 AHMorph, at its default setting, has rich and sweet mids complementing a crisp, energetic treble region. Soundstage and imaging is very good for an IEM of its stature, rivaling my K10 for resolution and micro detail retrieval.

With the dial set to full dynamic, bass quantity is boosted by quite a fair bit (~5-6 db?), whilst retaining its texture but accentuating its authority. Its mids become more lush, with a thicker presence. Strangely, the sound signature becomes a bit v-shaped at full dynamic, as the mids start to sound a little recessed, relative to the boosted bass and highs that retain its prominence and sparkle. This is probably why it sounds excellent for EDM - strong highs and lows are preferred in dance music oriented earphones.

I might try the W500 at its pure BA setting (dynamic is closed off) one day, but as it stands, I'm absolutely loving them at full dynamic.

I love the entire bass presentation of the W500. I have tried the AHMorph and fixed versions, and they both have a thoroughly addictive and delicious bass texture. Its sub-bass is prominent and has very good extension. This is most noticeable with tracks that have rumble into the lowest registers, such as EDM. However, its mid-bass is what got me thoroughly hooked. BA drivers can only dream to reproduce bass on par with a good dynamic. So far, only DD-based IEMs such as the W500, the Lear BD4.2 and the Dita Answer were able to produce such fine bass - the W500 is just the best of the bunch, IMO. I absolutely love dance music, and the W500 does this genre justice. Lows are punchy with good reverb. Coupled with a sparkling treble range, this IEM is perfect for EDM.

That's cool. How about only-BA option, what do you think?

I have only tried the pure BA design once (when I received my W500 at the store). I don't really remember much about them in this configuration - they sounded relatively balanced, but nothing truly special. They only sounded remarkable once the dynamic driver came into play. Don't get me wrong, it's not bad, but I purchased them precisely because of its hybrid nature. Thus, I spent little time with its pure BA sound.

I see, hope to see your impressions about only-BA side :)
