I was really happy with how this turned out, and then I went and ruined it with the JB Weld and Lego! Maybe I'll paint them, and that may make the Lego piece less disgusting!
I got the mic for $.99 off eBay. I really can be more happy with it. The pick up on it is amazing. Way better than using my Jawbone headset with the PS3. It is also has the perect amount of flex to it. I can bend it in any shape with almost no force, yet once in place it doesn't move.
I bought a 4 pole cable only 2 feet long off eBay for $0.99. I am going to put an end on the original cable and use it with my music cans, as it is a really nice long. cable.
Games sound great with these. I would say twice as good as the Tritton 720's. I am not sure how much of it is the AD700's, and how much is the Astro Mix Amp versus the Tritton Amp. I suspect it has more to do with the AD700's as both amps use Dolby Headphone tech.
