old dog meet some new tricks. Some apps don't do well from the Playstore, but not bad for Android 4.3
I haven't touched another dap since routing this. V4A plus Neutron/Peq or UAPP/Peq sounds incredible. Enjoying it far more than the M15 I got at the same time. Next steps will be looking into hardware mods.
Any of the rooted folks seeing battery oddities? I have noticed mine does a massive drop off after charging, but finally goes to sleep in the high 80%. I have rebooted a few time, but i am open to ideas if anyone has seen this..
Not noticed anything, but now your rooted you can calibrate the battery properly by deleting the learnt stats from system and starting fresh.
I'll send over some app recommendations later to save you wading through a load of rubbish/ads/crapware etc.

p.s. I have deleted 60% of not needed system apps and optimized build.prop etc

i just checked the battery stats on my M2 (rooted / busy boxed / play store / no other mods) and wifi was at the top of the list (32% use). haven't noticed abnormal battery drain as compared to stock.
You can use LSPEED or Battery Charge Limit, find the clear battery stats button but don't press until you have charged to 100% unplug the usb power, press the button and reboot.
This will help recalibrate your battery with android.

It's got a lot of uses. Unfortunately, however, UAPP's 'HiRes Direct Driver' feature is not working. First, I'm going to ask a UAPP company. and I'd like to thank Nayparm once again.

Hi guys. I picked up the AR M2 today. Pretty blown away by the sound quality. I rooted and added the Play Store etc. Everything ran super smooth. The device also boots faster and is a bit snappier over stock.
Question: Does anyone know how I can load Roon? There's no Jelly Bean version of Roon. I'm wondering if someone knows if it's possible modify the apk or some other voodoo to load it.

Its possible on some apks, i have the tools on my laptop so will have a go this weekend.
p.s. glad your liking the ARM2 and root/playstore, the sound is amazing on this dap. Speed can be tweaked even further. I think i have 60% of the orginal system removed on mine.
