I think 2.6.3 might be the final firmware, though my M2 is shorten to about 5 hours play time after update, the waiting time still is long as it cost only 3-5% after 2 days. There is no way to downgrade the firmware so I hope that AR will come up with the new firmware to fix this.

Somebody did match the m2 with Campfire Andromeda?

My current fave IEM match with AR-M2 are the Sony and AKG I have. I am contemplating the purchase of CA Andromeda or Dorado soon-ish.

Yeah but what about the high power output of the m2 versus the high sensibile Andromeda? That’s what stop me to purchase it...waiting for someone Who tried the match.

I tried twice, the first time it was super quick and I really liked it so I returned with the intention of buying it but after some testing I found it extremely sibilant like the highs were tuned to be over emphasized, let's say exaggerated, and couldn't stand it. I had a headache for a couple of hours.
After that, I talked to a guy owner of headphones.com and he told me that his brother also tried the Campfire Andromeda and found it extremely sibilant so I could say he shared the same impression.

I use the JH Roxanne now and it is not sibilant at all.

Thank you Joseph. Do you match the Roxanne with m2 or another dap?

Hi Wesbond, I owned before JH Roxanne but the A&K version which I believe is tuned to have more brights than the regular version; anyway, while I had it I used to pair it with the AK100 mkii and the sound was mind blowing, super bright but let's say providing "luscious" brights, very extended and nice like flowing organically, multilayering at its best. Now I have the JH Roxanne but not the A&K version and while pairing it with the AR-M2 sounds great it is not as bright or multilayered though the headstage is larger. Since the AR-M2 will produce a thick sound, so it will the JH Roxanne even with the bass at its lowest.
I also paired the A&K JH Roxanne with the iBasso DX 50 and though better than the Sony NWZ A-17 and much better than the FiiO X5 v1 they were no match to A&K Roxanne + A&K100 mkii

Thanks Joseph. It’s hard to find a good iem for the m2 due its high ohm output. I need some tips for a good match hence I asked you about the Roxanne. Any advices? Thanks pal.

In all the IEMs I own I have not found the need to use IEMatch yet with M2. I've heard/read CA Andromeda is a good candidate for it but others....?

it'll depend on the sensitivity of the iem, of course, and also if you're listening to a particularly loud recording. Also, the volume pots may vary a bit from unit to unit. With my M2, I can just barely use it with my Noble K10. The pot goes from very low volume ( can only hear in ine channel) to far too loud if I barely move the volume dial. With the iem match, I have a much more usuable range to adjust the volume.
I tend to listen at pretty quiet levels, though, so some folks probably won't have much of a problem. Just do keep in mind that loud volume is always bad for you.

We may be prejudiced, but if you're considering an IEM, please check out our E10 and E100 models.
