The upper limit of current in USB Charging Spec 1.1 is 1.8A. There is no harm to the battery as long as the hardware design tolerance is not exceeded. The M2 will only draw in max 1.8A regardless of the higher current limit that your adaptor can allow. You end up charging 80% faster with 1.8A input current and almost half the time to charge on a 1A adaptor.

Would you mind commenting on the comparison of SQ between the AR-M2 and the Fiio X7ii?

I chose this because of it's power output and stage presentation. It is very impressive. I love the user interface and it has it's own UAPP version that plays DSD like a boss.

Installed, thanks. No audible improvement but this is at least an official firmware update in almost a year's time. Wondering why the AR Player Pro is not included in the download.

According to the release notes, the new Player Pro application is the major benefit of firmware 2.6.3. The notes indicate that both the current and previous playback interfaces are available, with an option to switch between them.

The Pro still has defectives. At least after scanning the database it cannot detect most of my songs. I need to scroll the hell out from the folder browser for searching them.

The artist browser interface from the older fw was messy and unusable but frome the Pro it's even worse.

I actually love the pro over all other players. So long as an EQ is not needed. The regular player is missing album art and whole albums while the pro sees all album art and album folders.
I will do an unlisted vid to show what i mean about files and art not appearing in one but are appearing in the other. Just since it's better than typing and someone from AR might glimpse it and see the issue
