I'm surprised no one has mentioned Astor Piazzolla yet.

My favorite accordion album is Archipelago , a jazz/tango trio of accordion, bassoon, and percussion. It's one of my favorite albums.

Have you heard Ludovic Beier? A great young virtuoso who plays mainly jazz accordion.

i was acquainted with the accordion player who played on Wait's follow-up tour for Big Time. he was quite accomplished, and had some crazy stories from that tour.

Try the album "Squeezebox" by LynnMarie. She calls her music Alternate Polkas. It's a fun CD.

I haven't heard any of her other stuff and after that CD I have no need to.
