Peal Jam's Ten and Nirvana's Nevermind are two of my personal favorites.

My all time favorite album, though, is probably Simon and Garfunkel's Sounds of Silence, especially the songs Blessed and The Sound of Silence. Of course, that was also the album that got me interested in music to begin with, so that may be why it has particular meaning to me.

Finally, if you liked Dark Side of the Moon, check out Pink Floyd's The Wall and Wish You Were Here. Comfortably Numb is easily one of the best songs ever written (in my humble opinion.)

Anyway, a couple of others that I like are:

Hendrix - Axis: Bold as Love
David Gray - White Ladder
Sting - Ten Summoner's Tales and Soul Cages
Red Hot Chili Peppers - By the Way (Why so much hate for this album?)
Grateful Dead - American Beauty
Counting Crows - August and Everything After
And many others just not coming to mind right now.

I'm a big rock fan, as you can see. That's really all that I listen to, along with metal, but as a whole almost any of my top picks are rock songs.

This probably sounds terrible but I'm always amazed when people spend so much money on headphones and listen to so many of the albums posted here...
