The left driver on my red shell silver cable RY4S started popping very bad, tried to fix it somehow but ended making it distort even worse. To be fair never really liked them that much, seemed a tad bright and forward for my taste. Anyone knows a cheap source of drivers to reapir them?

Still waiting for my nicehck B40s, they should arrive soon.

Probably cheapest to just buy another ry4s for about $3usd.

If you want to keep the red shells, just swap the new drivers over.

That would be the wise thing to do but since I have to get a decent soldering iron to recable my MH755s I think I will attempt to swap the drivers for different ones. It won't be the cheapest option but should be fun and hopefully I learn something while I'm on it.

My plan is using the RY4s cable for the MH755, seems like it suits them, it light and the silver color matches the Sony's white shells. Then I'll use the red shell with possibly some 130ohm beryllium drivers I've found on aliepress for not too much and pair with a black **** cable that I have laying around. Right now I'm using a qian69 for my desktop pc when it's too hot for headphones or when I don't want to get my hair squished by the headband but I'm still looking for something that I like more, lets see how it turns out.

I received 2 Vido's in the past days. They were a bit too big for my ears and I wasn't as impressed with the sound as the other 3 earbuds (B40, H180, RY4S UE), maybe because of the fit.

After more comparing, I also must conclude that I prefer the signatures of the B40 and H180 over the RY4S UE. The RY4S seems a bit too bright. The above graph does seem to show a lacking response in the mid frequencies, where there is a big dive down compared to the other earbuds.

Still need to do more comparing between the H180 and B40, but it seems that the B40 really deserves all the praise that it's getting. It's a very comfortable earbud with a nice small shell and great sound (and seemingly overall the best frequency response).

Comparatively speaking, RY4S have greater emphasis between 4kHz and 7kHz, an area that is sensitive to the human ear, hence they sound more treble, even though the peak between 7 and 8 Khz is smaller. It's a matter of taste. I find that I like the bass of the MX500 capsules better than that of the PK capsules, as do the mids. And it's a pity, because I prefer the lace of the earbuds PK...

Anyone interested in trying the MEElectronics N8 [no mic] or N8P [w/ mic] for $5.40 & compare to whatever else they have in their collection & share their opinion on how they sound, can find them here... MEE audio
Was gonna recommend the N9, but it's currently sold out... anyone wanna keep them on their watch list & check from time to time whether the seller has more to add later if there's another chance of them showing up again.
I bought most of those early in the year & the seller added 7 more pairs later & that was the last batch I've seen with the last 2 pairs sold last month.
N9's are a little bigger than N8's... N8/N8P are smaller in size like the IE800 & fit almost completely inside your ears for those who like that style.
They're not earbuds...

Hi, new guy here want to help someone.

I bouth Philips SHE3800 from this aliexpress STORE . First i need to say i am suprised how good they sound. Its in my 3 favorites now with SHP9500 and sony mh755 (don't like chi-fi crap and i think half of this forum is deaf :D).
Packaging is funny and misspelled as you can see from photos. I thought that i got a fake ones at first, but spelling on headphones is correct. After listening some music i knew they are genuine but i took a photo of drivers for you guys.
I also bouth SHP9500 from this store and got the real stuff but i have to WARN YOU.
DO NOT BUY SAMSUNG AKG (EO IG955) FROM THIS STORE BECUSE THEY ARE FAKE. They look real, have no flaws like some models i saw on this forum. You can't know they are fakes if you dont open them and see the driver (fake driver). And yeah, they sound like crap as well.

The SHE3800 that you bought is not a real Philips product. It's fake and not even in the same league as the the Edifier H180 (same shell): https://www.aliexpress.com/item/32790311335.html which is my favorite budget earbud.
