If I ever get a chance, I would be interested in trying it..  This really should not matter, but the red housings and red cable bugs me for some odd reason.  Ha..

TY Hi-Z 32S?  Or did you mean 32R?

--

I thought they were the same hp32s on penon and hp32r on taobao

Have anyone Tested / Try the Philips SHE3200 ? If so How does it compare to other Budget sets like the TY 32s ?

Thanks.

for me its like apple earpods with extended bass no mid bass hump and slightly extended midrange and treble, I don't have the hp32s yet but compared to the hp32, the sh3200 sound a bit more like in ear than earbuds, probably due to its shape, but I like the hp32 a bit more imho

Don't forget the all red TY Colarad CO1 as well!

I almost thought it was just a similarity in name, then saw the page where it said model number ty hi-z

red cable from hp32s/r, red earbuds like the hp650, weird name that almost sounds like coca cola (written in disney font), and a gift box with a flower on top, looks to me like a specialty gift earbud

ie. an earbud that you would buy as a gift

TY32R Comparo (60 hour burn-in):
Test song: Lose yourself by Daft Punk.
Using donuts foams.

-  Did a TY32v1 vs TY32v2 few days earlier:
http://www.head-fi.org/t/812853/absolute-best-budget-earbuds/180#post_13097197

-  TY32R vs TY32v2, L-plug.
R has less thumping mid-bass, but slightly more lower-bass.
R has thicker sounding mids with vocals & instrumentation more forward.
R seems more refined in the highs and more controlled.
Generally, R has a flatter V-shape sound with slightly better extensions both ends.

-  TY32R vs TY32v1, straight-plug.
R has slightly less mid-bass kick as well as less lower-bass. But hardly any difference if I don't listen for it.
R has thinner vocal timbre but mostly quite similar midrange performance, just a bit less warmer.
The biggest difference for R is in having more treble energy. There's enough treble to make v1 seem a bit tame.
Generally, R has a more balanced sound than v1. Might be too trebly for some. And bassheads should still prefer the older v1 slightly.

I hate saying broadly "which is better" comparing any audio equipment, as there so many other variables that cannot be accounted for. But since it's the done thing here in headfi:

TY32v1 > TY32v2
TY32R > TY32v2
TY32R >= TY32v1 (very slightly)

EDIT: Have taken back 2 x TY32v1 from my son (replaced with E808+). So I now have 3 x TY32v1. Both his sounded a tad brighter than mine, but the mid-bass & lower-bass of all 3 were spot on. TY Hi-Z should consider re-starting the TY32v1 again, if they still have the original raw material.
