My Air Tight comes with WE 300b as stock, all the other tubes was EH, not so good... first recomendation are the Mullard long plate (1955) 12au7/ECC82, then the rectifier, all are good: RCA 5u4gb, Tung Sol 5u4gb or Mullard 5as4, dependig by the k1000: you have, for what I remember of your cans, the Mullard will be the very best.

Afrikane, do not forget to let your K1000 for many, many hours in play, they need aboslutely to do a burnin time, not less than 300 h, just for the first burnin...
