Hopefully the glass is as scratch resistant as I'm used to from modern smartphones with gorilla glass. Nice to see you kept the size of the X1 (X1: 96,6x57x14, X1II: 97x55.5x12). The design is slick, but the decision to put the headphone jack at the bottom of the unit is a terrible one. I don't think the buyers of DAPs are the same people buying wireless headphones in large amounts. If I'm not very interested in sound quality I can live with the average amp of a run-of-the-mill smartphone. To me, sound quality and battery live were the main reasons I decided against a phone this time.
 
I use custom in ears with my X1 without a remote control in the cable, I need to be able to reach the side buttons of my device. Thus using it upside down isn't an option while I could live with the display tugged deep down in my pocket. Well, I will skip this generation, my X1 should last quite a while.
