do full size headphones amps usually have both inputs or is one more common than the other

It is rare to find a full-sized headphone amp without RCA jacks. The only exception seems to be amps with XLR jacks for balanced - or ostensibly balanced - operation.

You might want to consider a dock, that way you can charge your ipod at the same time.

theres an official apple one but is it true that there are custom made lods that are much better sound quality,
