Hi guys,

I have just finished soldering the op-amp to my board and was trying to hook up the +V and -V terminals when I got confused. According to Tangent's tutorial, the +V is located pin 8. However, according to my circuit book, pin 8 is not used and +V is located at pin 7. So where do I hook up my +V lead to, pin 7 or pin 8?

Thanks!

Ah, thanks for the quick reply. I guess it does depend on the op-amp used. Thanks again!

Most opamps with V+ on pin 7 are single, not dual, opamps. If you are buliding the original Chu Moy (as on Headwize) CMoy, then it does indeed use two single opamps (one per channel). Tangent's layout, and most others that I've seen, use a single dual opamp (OPA2132/2134, etc.).

Also, a single opamp will have different pin assignments for the inputs, out, etc.

I did some quick reading and realized that I am using a dual op-amp (OPA2132PA). So looking at its datasheet, it's V+ pin would be at pin #8, not pin#7. Thanks guys!
