I'm (impatiently) waiting for my Woo Audio WA6 to ship. I ordered it with the stock tubes, and I would like to get some other power tubes, because I'm definitely getting the Sophia Princess. Where is a good place to buy vintage tubes, and also what tubes are good.

Mine was shipped with 6DE7's and these were better than the upgrade RCA's, go figure.  Then I got 6FD7's and that gave me more impactful bass, just better all around.  I'd go to the Woo boards on this site.  You'll get a lot of opinions.  My pusher is Jim McShane (google).

So the stock tubes are better then an old pair of RCA 6DE7's, wow! I thought of buy a RCA pair, but now I'm thinking that wont be necessary. Thanks for the reply!

My stock tubes were International C.  Who knows what he's shipping now.

I had very good service from tube depot  (tubedepot.com)
His prices were mid-range and the tubes were matched very closely..
 
(A friend checked them for me and found they were properly matched.)
