So, I arrive home today and there is a box on my doorstep. It has been awfully warm today, so I bring it inside.

It's quite a large box and no light weight, either. I decide to cut it open and look inside.

Strange, a box inside a box, with quite a few packing peanuts holding it in place. Let's look a little closer...

Stax, as in electrostatics? That's odd.

A 007t? Someone is messing with me.

Omega IIs? This is not happening: where are the hidden cameras?

IMG_1745JPG.png

A stack of Stax.

The flight case (plastic, but I won't complain).

Very nice.

The soft, velvety center. Awesome.

I seriously did not expect the amp to be this big. It's a hefty sucker.

A very happy boy.

Congratulations.
Good thing it was a warm day, otherwise you would've left it on your doorstep?

Looking good.

I guess I'm not alone in starting some sort of "box fetish"?
Seriously, I nearly drool when I see just a picture of a sealed cardboard box with a shipping label on it, even if it's not for me or contains something completely mundane.

Box = good = happiness!

What is the mystery or the surprise? Your captions and title make out as if somebody just randomly sent you a pair of STAX cans and an amp. No big deal, I just don't get it.

If you get it it's a big deal.

The heat was just a motivator to get it inside faster.

Boxes are nice, but big boxes are nicer.

That was my futile attempt at building tension.

I'm tired gonna go sleep, my comments are:

1. Bad/Crappy title.
2. Lucky 13 year old.
3. Nice cans.

I'm not 13, but thanks anyways.

Now I know why MY Stax packages never arrived. O.K. - give them up.

Fixed that for you.

Very nice sschell! Please provide some impressions once you've had a few days to enjoy them.
