I'm a little confused over a purchase I've made and am looking for someone to explain it to me. Bear with me on this, over the years I've owned many different Iems, daps and portable Amps but never a DAC or DAC/amp combo.
In the last couple of weeks I've bought a Sony PHA-2 amp/dac. I bought it with the intention of using with my android handset with USB otg and also my Sony ZX1(waiting for UK delivery). The reason I bought for the ZX1 was the ability to play DSD if I wanted and to use the amp section.
Now here is my confusion. Is there any benefit in using the DAC with say an Ibasso DX90 or similar high end dap or would I just be looking at using the amp section for harder to drive headphones.
