A Hi-Fi Speaker Junkie's review on Senn 595's

I have both the Senn 595 and Grado SR80 - and I recognize that they are just 2 different sounds for different moods / types of music.

I would prefer SR80 for more aggressive guitar rock, metal and jazz. I use the 595 for classical and music that sounds better with a decent soundstage like Dark Side Of The Moon.

The main problem is the the lack of comfort of the Grados. Compared to the 595 it is really uncomfortable - abrasive pads which don't really fit my ear, so I have to really clamp it down and then I feel the wire on the top. I suppose I need to mod it abit. I prefer the bowl pads sonically. The comfies sound muffled. Haven't managed to get flats, so can't say.
