Came across an interesting interview of Mark Levinson talking about music in 1950's and music today..

also how each of us can do smthg for music in different ways.

i really agree with the man...music is sooo not music these days..its just 'commercial sound' as i wud like to put it.

Met the man years back in NY at his Cello shop. I was brought there by an audio saleman who knew him. Mr. Levinson is a really nice guy. We listened to his gear in his living room. That was the only time I heard a drum set recording sounding like a real drum set being played live.

my BIL set up an interview with him for an accounting position.
he knows the in house guy. bad time for an interview because
it was right after my father passed away.
this was over 12 yrs ago at his Cello showroom. very nice gentleman.

I used to engrave the faceplates and knobs etc for Cello Audio equipment. Done in East haven at F.J.Weidner Machine Shop. Ive met Mark a few times and he is a great guy and a character to be sure.
