Yes. But what audio source do you want to plug the headphone amp up to specifically? Details are always helpful

A headphone amp will not improve the sound quality of the sansa clip with your headphones. It would only help it to play louder.

The Audioquest Dragonfly is a good plug and play USB stick headphone amp that is uber portable, and thus great for laptops. There's a new v 1.2 which runs about $150, and I believe you can still find the original version on Amazon on closeout for $100.

If you can get your budget up to $200, you can get the FiiO X3 on Amazon with a 32gb microSD. Save another $10 and you can get the 64gb with it. No amp needed, but better headphones would help a lot.

If you are looking for the best sound quality, i would recommand the Colorfly CK4.
