Which would be the best flash player for the Spuermini in terms of sound quality?

My guess would be the Nano, since it has a line out.

Shuffle has the best sound without an amp...but I have no idea how the headphone out sounds amped.

Nano line-out is only accessible by using amp via a Pocketdock or Sik Ram Din. There is no lineout socket on the Nano. Best (frugal) way to go in this instance would to mate Nano with used Senn. HD25-1 as an example. Iaudio 's have pretty decent phone-out - so that is another good alternative. Additionally I think same can be said, for all practical purposes, with Mpio fl100 (hedged on that because I automatically use XIn amp w/ either Etymotics or the Senn. I mentioned.
