I wonder how the cobweb-like design of the Alita came about. They are definitely one of the most visually interesting IEMs. I tend to take a moment to admire their intricacies before and after using them.

I would have to agree that the Alita is visually striking. And my favorite in their lineup. We'll see if the Aurora can knock the Alita from my #1. A couple more days now.I wonder how the cobweb-like design of the Alita came about. got my Neon Pro! it's very nice for the price. quite like it with bass switch off, but also rather enjoyable with bass boost.
question: how far are you supposed to push the tips in? as far as they can go? or just to the "line" on the nozzle?
tried it with comply foamies and didn't like the combo much. sounded thin and distant. got some Spinfit W1 and they're not bad but I think I prefer the stock tips.
compared it to my custom A12T and some quick notes.
- NP has stronger central imaging with more upfront vocals and upper mids. sounds a bit airier and clear.
- NP seems more W shaped than U shaped as per site description. A12T has a comparatively more balanced presentation. I think for longer listening sessions, A12T will be less fatiguing.
- A12T has better bass and low end extension. but central imaging and sharpness/clarity is not as good as BP.
- A12T sounds a bit wider and better sense of height. imaging and front/back depth is better.
- NP is extremely comfortable. very nicely shaped housing. my custom A12T annoy me after a while.
I think for the price the Neon Pro is a killer universal iem. am using mine with a PW 1960s 4 wire cable. don't have a nice dap though.. just running off an AK dongle and Roon Arc/UAPP. wanted to get a decent universal iem for travels/work and am very glad I got the NP.
those who ordered it, give the guys at Aur some time. I think they were struggling with production but seems they may have caught up with orders for now.

Has anyone tried Penon Totem or CEMA Tianwaitian with Neon Pro?
As for Complys - I use all my IEM with Complys if possible and my NP is far from sounding thin or distant that way. Strange behaviour in your case. Maybe check the polarity on your cable?

Have a Totem on order for a while now but it may take another while as Penon waits for some hardware to fulfill my order. Will give impressions when it will have arrived.Has anyone tried Penon Totem or CEMA Tianwaitian with Neon Pro?

I saw from your signature that you have also Ares S 8w incoming. I am eagerly waiting for your impressions of Totem and Ares on Neon Pro!Have a Totem on order for a while now but it may take another while as Penon waits for some hardware to fulfill my order. That looks a lot like the NiceHCK JiaLai cables which I like to use.Neon Pro has the option to purchase the 4.4mm cable for additional 16SGD.
Its a blue sleeve 2-core SPC cable that comes stock on the Alita & Aurora.
Looks like the AüR has slightly different Y split and jack shroud on it but I doubt it's using a different wire.
The Jialai's are great cables and not microphonic despite the fabric sleeve around them. They also don't really get dirty either. This particular blue one has been used for at least 7 months while travelling and it still look as good as the day I got them.
While I don't have a AüR IEM yet so I can't say it for certain, I can vouch for the Jialai being a great and inexpensive cable option.
Can you tell that I like Jialai cables
Brown: CCA CRA & PLA13
Blue: KZ PR1 Pro
Black: KZ ZS10 Pro X
Yes the PLA13 like the PR1 Pro has a 4.4 on it as I'm of the opinion that planar IEM/Headphone needs a balanced connection to sound it's best.
Not necessarily for the extra power but the way a planar works means it gains a lot of benefit from the extra control and definition a balanced signal provides.

don't think it's the cable, as it sounds great with other tips. I'm OK with the seal for stock and W1 tips, so just tried my Comply tips out of curiosity.
I just got my Neon Pro and after a little tip experimentation I find that they don't seem very tip sensitive, at least not within the half dozen that I have tried so far and not for my ears.
With the bass switch OFF which is my preference the JVC Spiral Dot wide bore tips seem to just tighten the bass up a touch versus Final Audio Type E with their narrow bore and the KBear 07 which have a bore size in between.
These are my first all BA set, is lower tip sensitivity a BA thing in general ?
What are others observations of tips, especially if you prefer the tuning with the bass switch OFF ?
Thanks

My experience is that its not too tip sensitive but cable wise can be very impactful.I just got my Neon Pro and after a little tip experimentation I find that they don't seem very tip sensitive, at least not within the half dozen that I have tried so far and not for my ears.

I have only used a XINHS 4.4mm cable, one of their higher end range, so can't comment on cables.
I have mostly used the Neon Pro off my ifi Diablo but have briefly run them off an original Chord Mojo and a new Schiit Magni + and I think I hear more of a difference between sources than I am normally aware of with other IEM. Technically that should be true given the very low 5 ohm impedance.
What was interesting is that while they are relatively easy to drive from the Diablo compared to other sets I have they required the Magni + to be on medium gain, I could literally max out low gain and even normal listening was around 2 - 3 o'clock on the pot, something I could not do with other sets at around 16 to 30 ohms impedance.
Would the Bravery Anniversary Edition be compatible with this particular combination? I've been going through a list of distinctions, but I'm uncertain if the overall tuning is sufficiently similar. According to reviews, the original Bravery has a greater quantity and impact in the bass region, whereas the AE offers a more neutral, tight, and detailed bass presentation with slightly less quantity (albeit a similar extension to the sub-bass). In terms of the higher frequencies, they say the OG version leans slightly darker, while the AE provides a touch more air, sparkle, and shimmer. For stage, they say the OG edition offers a more intimate soundstage, whereas the AE showcases a wider soundstage.Bravery with Tri Clarion & PWA legend II still belongs to special category.
IMO nozzle diameter would not impact much as those Clarion type ear tips are shallow fit ear tips, but YMMV.
I'm also curious what the sound attributes of the PWA Legend II cable are.

I’m not sure about bass presentation, and for treble comparision makes sense. Maybe that’s due to The Xelastec ear tips that Bravery OG was paired? Whoever chose Xelastec as Bravery OG stock ear tip must be an extreme treblehead. A bad combination IMHO.
It appears the AE is more V-tuned ones though. I didn’t like Bravery when it arrived, it was way too bright to my liking and I placed it into sleep for around 2 years until I paired it with Clarion and it relaxed the excessive treble and overly emphasized bass. Clarion cured V-shape tuning of OG, and Legend II further pushed mid gain levels up. Making Bravery a female vocal specialist, it emphasizes the details with good embodiment, not just leaving sound image thin and hollow as many treblehead IEMs are tuned.

Damn, the waiting for NP is sooo long. Which guy at AüR could I contact through Email to make it faster? Thought the new production process would make it faster.
