There are tons of standard micro-USB battery packs for charging the M on the go. I would use one of them instead of paying premium price for a custom battery pack, plus transforming the M into a brick imo.

SanDisk just announced a 200Gb micro SD card. So now max cap to Calyx M is 776Gb.

I second that. I bought a 8,900mAh portable battery from Anker in 2010 and it still suits me very well. Has 2 USB outputs (0.6A and 2A), a LED flashlight, and is very compact and lightweight for its capacity. Only problem is that it takes ages to fully charge, but it's no big deal for me, as I can let it charge overnight.

Regarding the 200GB microSD card, does Calyx M firmware support it? Can we consider the M future-proof in terms of expanding memory card capacity?

Hi there,

I currently have the Colorfly C4, might switch to Calyx M or to Cowon Plenue P1. Do both of those have similar SQ as C4? Talking primarily about soundstage and details, the sound signature will be "warmer" on both compared to C4 from what I read, right?

Thanks in advance for any replies and advice. Maybe there are other DAPs out there to consider in the same price range?

There are talks over at ZX-2 thread that despite the non-balance 3.5 jack of the amp it supports TRRS jack and members have heard an improved sound. We know from M-jack that clayx M also supports TRRS jack so these raises the question, well we also hear similar improvements?

It would be sweet if someone could review the Calyx M with the relatively new JHA Layla or Angie IEM, especially the Layla. An IEM designed for studio usage should provide the most honest listening experience with any source.
