Good thread... 8+ mos for me and my heartfelt support to everyone else. With the $$ I've saved, I treated myself to a Sony A818 (and a few other electronic goodies). I think it's important to reward yourself! <g>

Anyone have tips for sticking with it? Mine was not to tell anyone... didn't use a patch or gum, just kept quiet and never, ever used the Q word to myself... only the S word. The Q word is too final.

Happy hols to all!

Well, im 22, smoked properly since i was 14. Then quite when i was 17/18. Then started again when i was 19. Quit again when i was 20. Started again nearing my 21st birthday and been smoking on and off since.

I know it might not sound like it, but i have seriously tried to stop so much, but it always come back to grab me. At the moment im only on one a day. Its one too much.

Big props to you guys who have managed it. Hopefully ill join you some day.

My grandma was a chain smoker for fifty years and up to three packs a day. She quit cold turkey when she realized it was making the grandkids sick. She's been clean about 5 years now and hasn't looked back.
