7Hz Impressions & Discussion

How does the Timeless sound with the Leyding - any noticeable differences from stock? Curious about the Leyding but most of what I’ve seen written about it focuses on its looks and modular system rather than any sonic properties.
To be honest, I think audibly there is no real difference. I havent A/B'd it alot because I hate switching MMCX cables and I have also been tip rolling quite a bit, but from a few of the tracks that I'm really familiar with it's very much the same.

How did you manage that out of interest, did you file the connector on the AZ09 Pro? It's possible to get MMCX-QDC adapters, incidentally, although I question how good an idea they are.
Yes, I cut and file the plastic pieces surrounding the 2 pins connector.

Got the Timeless yesterday and have listened to them for good 8 hours by now.

In my opinion so far and based on my preferences, the Timeless pair well with a warmish/analogue sounding source, like my Calyx M.

Bass doesn’t seem as elevated as the graph suggests and offers the right amount of presence and impact. The mids are thinner than how I like them (I am mid-head), but even if slightly recessed, they are ok. The treble is extended, no harshness so far, but I nevertheless find the Timeless to be a bit more fatiguing to listen to as my others IEMs. Nothing dramatic, though. There is a surprising sense of clarity and space that I like a lot. It looks like an all-rounder set of IEMs. The USD 200.- price tag makes these affordable for the most of us.

The Timeless are really comfortable to wear. After having switched back-and-forth with the provided tips, I came back to the ones mounted initially.

What else? Well, I quite like what I am hearing so far. I love the design too, but it doesn’t matter, sound and comfort do. Nice effort 7Hz, you have caught my attention.

pulled these filters out of the sound guide and was shocked by the changes in the sound !!! The soundstage has become wider, the mids and highs have become more detailed and also more quantitative. The bass has become less, but it is now deeper. Using with inside out KZ starline eartips. Wow, without filters this iems shoked me 0_o

NIce! Did your model not have the metal mesh filter? Also, how did you go about removing the nozzle cover? :)

Have a 2 mesh :)
I just lifted the mesh with the largest needle, and she pulled the finer mesh behind her. then I just removed the foam rubber and closed everything

I tried the same, it was pretty easy with the needle & fully reversible. agree with your comments on the sound changes.

I also covered the vents with filters (as in HZsound Heart Mirror mod https://www.facebook.com/notes/chif...-mirror-enjoyment-tricksmods/150723727104965/) to improve bass retention.

I should note covering the vents has a massive impact on isolation, so if you found the TImeless not isolating enough, definitely recommend giving it a try & again, fully reversible.

Pairing my Timeless with TRN BT30 and it can drive the Timeless quite well.

Have you seen anyone take measurements with and without filters?

Just got mine. Tried a few silicone tips, but none really did it for me. Then went to my stock of Compy T-400 wax guards. Magic struck! Listening on my xDuoo X20 2.5mm balanced on high gain. Wow, just wow!

Fit and isolation are fantastic.

Indeed, the brain burn-in is real. I am getting used to the quite thin mids mentioned yesterday. My expectations, even given the little hype going on about these, are fulfilled.

Very satisfied and not reporting any QC issue so far.
