A ”round plate” would be round not T shaped the Tung Sol and NU tubes have the “round“ style plates.

I understand that. But look closely at the plates on my photo, they are different.
Micas are different too
If you mean the photo right after my first post in this thread what I would say is, through the glare, I see “T shaped plates not what is commonly referred to as “round” plates. I didnt say that the picture I posted of a tube had other commonalities just that it was indicative of a “T” shaped plate.

Get a 6SN7 to loctal 7N7 adapter and use the 7N7 or 7AF7. These loctal tubes are the same as the better Sylvania 6SN7GT's so they have the same great 6SN7 sound.

7AF7 is a 6SN7 electrically and unique in the the heater requirement is 0.3 amp the same as a 12AU7.

These tubes are much less expensive than the 6SN7 or 6F8G. Be careful though as these tubes were updated to 6SN7GTB's after 1955 or so but the designation was not changed like with the 6SN7GT becoming the 6SN7GTB. The GTB style plates are almost always triangular looking.

I got a TS 6F8G VT99 Round Plate and Sylvania 6F8G VT99 for the Envy. I like these very much. Any other 6F8Gs worth pursuing? Thanks.
