Hello Head-Fi

We're excited to have a totally new UIEM to share with you. Welcome Aspire 4 to the 64 Audio lineup of UIEMs: a hybrid four-driver professional monitoring tool.

If you're familiar with our products over the years you'll know that since the development of Fourté and U18t we've released 13 models built with our beautiful and comfortable milled aluminum shells over these last eight or so years. Aspire 4 is unique in so many ways, but at first glance the most obvious is its shape and outer material setting it apart from the rest of our current other 10 UIEM models.

The four part construction is made up of an abs molded shell and stainless steel stepped nozzle.

Continuing with our trickle down tech philosophy, Aspire 4 features our Apex Core, LID, and waveguide tech to achieve this best in class performance. The three BA + single DD drivers are configured using an integrated electronic 3-way crossover network. The 9mm DD benefits from the innovation seen in our Fourté Blanc, with the use of our new textile mesh filters; now seen in most of our DD implementations. This is the same driver used in our Nio UIEM. While Aspire 4 doesn't use our legendary tia™ HF driver, we've used what we learned in the development of Volür's HF waveguide to design a new waveguide for the BA used here. With the implementation of this waveguide we round off Aspire 4's huge, but balanced, sound with the high-frequency detail and air that 64 Audio UIEMs are known for.

While Aspire 4 was designed for musicians and live-audio professionals to monitor performances, it is not unique in that we've created many products aimed at one audience but satisfying others in the process. The most recent example being U4s, which started as the custom A4s. Similarly products that are aimed at audiophiles and high-end audio enthusiasts are picked up by professionals, like A18t, and we're all about it. Aspire 4 has all of the hallmarks of the classic 64 Audio sound in a new lighter/smaller package. While it is certainly not a "budget" IEM in today's standards it is a great way to get into our UIEM range and has the sonic + technical capability of being your end-game IEM.

As an musician, I am looking forward to test these.

899$ for an 3-way System using an DD is an though price though. That means I have to compare it to the 4-way and 5-way systems in the same Price range like the SE846 and IER-M9

Hopefully I am soon getting my hands on these

We're very excited for you to hear Aspire 4, it is available globally through our dealer/distributor network.

We'd caution your assessment of IEM quality based on crossovers. The choice to make Aspire 4 a 3-way system was intentional during the development process to make it sound as great as we possibly could. If a 4-way system was a better option for Aspire 4, we would've made it that way. It is not a limitation but an intentional choice. It's not necessarily better or worse than other IEMs solely based on its crossover network, but as a result of the sum of all of its parts. Similarly, you could enjoy a single driver or 2-way IEM more than Aspire 4 based on your preferences.

I am also a musician using the Shure SE846 for live and studio drumming. I will be looking at comparisons in the future to see what these are bringing to the table.

I'm a big fan of the new shell design here. I'm assuming the apex core allows similar levels of pressure relief as the apex modules?

Do you have any frequency response graphs?
Yes it offers similar pressure relief as our other apex implementations. Apex core is an implementation that Aspire 4 inherited from our Duo UIEM. We do not publish FR graphs, but we're sure we'll see measurements published by others soon :)

We're very confident that musicians will find Aspire 4 to be one of the best monitoring tools in its class. Very much looking forward to people comparing these two models.

Congrats on the release.

Is this positioned in your line up towards a musician/pro who doesn’t want to invest in a custom fit?
Great question. As you may notice, we actually offer three custom models (A2e, A3e, & A3t) which range from $499-$899; so we have options for people in and below this price range.

There are folks who are just getting into monitoring with in-ears who might not be ready for customs, and don't want to invest in the whole process of getting molded and waiting for the build. There are also experienced musicians who need a backup set, or simply prefer generic fitting IEMs. Also we work with many large organizations like touring acts and houses of worship that need to have many generic fitting IEMs available for use between multiple people.

Oh and since you mentioned it, why no TIA driver?

Interesting! I'll probably put it on my audition list for CanJam SoCal later in the year. Given the similarity in purpose and price point, I wonder how it will stack up against my Bellos Audio X4, which I find to be absolutely superb.

Similar to A2e and A3e, which also don't use our tia™ high-driver Aspire 4 is made to be as cost effective as we possibly could with this driver count and configuration. This means that the proprietary tia drivers couldn't fit that mold. We also wanted to take as much time as needed to perfect these lower cost innovations with Aspire 4 to make sure we have something absolutely incredible to continue to trickle down in case we see more similar products in the future
