recently i made a purchase of HD650 from this forum with Zu mobius cable.

unfortunately he did not include the 6.3mm-3.5mm jack

i was wandering would the quality of 6.3mm-3.5mm jack make a  huge difference? or can i just buy a normal one off every audio shop? do i need to find a specific brand?

Grado mini adapter is pretty good. I just bought one to use with my hd700. My previous one from radioshack have some static noise on the rx3 when I turn them around. To me they sound the same, but the grado one feels more solid and adds less stress to the 3.5 port on the amp.

Do you mean a 6,3mm to 3,5mm adapter? If that's the case, there is no loss of audio quality and everything will be fine.

As long as they are not damaged or made poorly (bad connections), no, there will be no loss of audio quality.

I prefer adapter cables like the Grado/Cardas/Sennheiser options - less strain on the jack than a hard adapter.
