5th grade math problem.

There are 7 girls on a bus, no driver, each girl has 7 backpacks, there are 7 large cats in each backpack, for each large cat there are 7 small cats, how many legs are on the bus?

14. You didn't state that the knapsacks are also on the bus.

Or, zero. Busses have wheels.

Or zero, they were all double/quadruple amputees etc.

I can do this all day. Teachers hated me.

Those are some big ass backpacks to fit 7 cats in!

EDIT:

Assuming: Each girl has two legs, all cats have 4 legs, the backpacks, large cats and small cats are all on the bus and you are only counting the legs on the girls, cats and kittens 10990. Otherwise the guy above is right.

7*2= 14 girl legs
2401*4=9604 cat legs

9618 legs?

You got it!

Each backpack holds 56 cats
7 x 7 = 49
49 + 7 =56

56 cats x 7 backpacks = 392 cats

392 cats x 7 girls = 2744

2744 cats x 4 legs each = 10,976

10,976 legs + 14 legs(7 girls) = 10,990

No point. I saw this on another forum. Thought it would be fun.
I am way past the homework stage.
